Our Story
Navis comes from the Latin word for “ship,” a name chosen to reflect direction, movement, and delivery. It is also a nod to my grandfather, an avid sailor, and to my belief in shipping products that make a real, measurable impact.
Navis Product Partners was founded to help teams navigate complex product challenges with clarity and confidence. After years of working inside growing SaaS organizations, I saw a common pattern: companies with strong ideas and talented teams struggling to translate vision into execution as they scaled.
Navis exists to bridge that gap. We provide experienced product leadership for startups, SMBs, and scaling organizations that need strategic direction and execution support, but are not ready for a full-time product executive. Our focus is on helping teams move forward with purpose, alignment, and momentum.
Our Approach
We believe product leadership is about more than roadmaps and metrics. It is about listening closely, understanding real constraints, and making thoughtful decisions that move the business forward.
Whether through project-based consulting or fractional product leadership, we partner with teams to:
Discover meaningful customer and market insights
Define clear, actionable product strategies
Align leadership, engineering, and business stakeholders
Deliver outcomes that drive adoption and growth
Guide organizations making the shift from service-first to product-led
At Navis, the goal is not just to help you build products. It is to help you build the right products, in the right way, for the right reasons.
Meet the Founder
Chris Hoskins,
Founder and Principal Consultant
I built Navis Product Partners around a simple principle: clarity over chaos.
I’ve spent more than a decade leading product teams and building SaaS platforms in complex, high-stakes environments. My professional background includes document and content management, data analytics, and fleet safety and performance software, where product decisions directly affect compliance, operations, and real people in the field.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with founders, engineers, and business leaders to bring structure to messy problem spaces. I help teams cut through noise, align around what truly matters, and translate complexity into products that customers trust and adopt. Navis was created to provide that level of product leadership to teams that want experienced guidance without the overhead of a full-time product executive.
Outside of work, I’m a proud girl dad to three daughters, which has shaped how I think about leadership, patience, and perspective. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, spent a brief chapter in Newport Beach, California, and attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. I’m a lifelong Phoenix Suns fan and enjoy spending time outdoors whenever possible.
When I’m not working, you can often find me juggling club volleyball tournaments, basketball games, flag football, and practices, which keeps me grounded and sharpens my perspective on priorities.
I also serve my community through my involvement with the Maricopa County Foster Care Review Board, supporting efforts to improve outcomes for children and families in the foster care system. That commitment to service carries into my professional work. I believe clarity creates better decisions, stronger teams, and more meaningful outcomes.
My role is not to impose answers. It is to help you find the right ones for your product, your customers, and your business.
